Product Overview
This outdoor PoE surge protector adds a grounded protection stage to a compatible Ethernet and Power over Ethernet link. The inline unit uses a compact aluminum enclosure with cable glands, mounting tabs, and a grounding lead connection for outdoor network equipment, camera links, access points, and monitoring systems.
Protection Architecture
The documented circuit combines a gas discharge tube with TVS protection and addresses both common-mode and differential-mode surge paths. Correct grounding is essential: the supplied grounding lead must be bonded to the site protection system using an installation method appropriate for the equipment and local requirements.

Enclosure and Installation
The IP67-rated die-cast aluminum housing uses nylon cable joints specified for 4–8 mm cable diameter. Documented dimensions are 160 × 43 × 43 mm, and the listed operating-temperature range is −40 to 85 °C. Install the protector close to the equipment being protected, maintain a short grounding path, and keep both cable glands correctly tightened.
Model Selection
Choose the 2.5G or 10G version to match the intended network. Confirm cable category, connector wiring, PoE voltage, data rate, and the grounding plan for the complete link. Inspect the grounding connection and cable seals as part of routine site maintenance. The protector reduces surge exposure but cannot guarantee protection from every lightning or electrical event.
