How to Use
- Install 1–6 18650 batteries in the battery compartment, observing polarity and using cells with similar capacity (ideally 2600mAh or higher).
- Mount the 12W solar panel using the included bracket and tilt it toward the sun to maximize exposure.
- Connect your 5V–12V device to the 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC output, ensuring the required voltage matches one of the available 5V/6V/9V/12V outputs.
- Allow the panel to charge the battery pack in sunlight; a typical pack reaches full charge after about 8 hours of strong sun.
- When sunlight is limited, you can also charge the battery pack via a suitable 5V adapter through the Micro USB input.
Who It’s For
This 12W solar panel is ideal for DIY makers, hobbyists and small off-grid projects that need a reliable 5V–12V power source. It works well for garden sensors, small electronics, experimental IoT devices and other low-power loads where running mains power is inconvenient or impossible.
Care & Maintenance
- Keep the solar surface clean and free from dust or shading to maintain efficiency.
- Use only quality 18650 cells and avoid mixing old and new batteries in the same pack.
- Match cells with similar capacity and internal resistance for best performance.
- Ensure all seals and covers are properly closed to maintain the IP66 protection level outdoors.
- If the panel will not be used for a long time, disconnect loads and store it in a dry place.
